Another fall, another Odette sweater lady jacket. This season’s offering has a cable-knit texture and a slightly slimmer fit compared to previous versions; however, I was surprised by the amount of synthetic polymers contained in the material composition–68% cotton/31% polyamide/1% elastane–considering its $168 price tag.
My favorite version of the Odette Sweater Lady Jacket remains the one from 2022, which was oversized and snuggly in the best way. Hoping to achieve a similar look, I upsized in the Odette Cable Knit Sweater Lady Jacket in Cotton, which in hindsight was the right move, though the slimmer, more cropped fit didn’t translate to coziness, but will allow me to layer more freely.
The jacket is meant to fit closely, so upsize if you prefer a looser fit. Because only “regular” sizes are offered, the sleeves will likely be too long for those with shorter limbs.
While I wouldn’t have recommended this jacket at full-price, now that it’s an extra 60% off online in all colorways, the price point is reasonable enough to be considered if you are in the market for a dressier medium-weight sweater jacket to wear to the office or to elevate a two-step tee-and-jeans outfit.
