The snood-inspired neckline with hood detail is both stylish and functional. When the wind picks up or when moving between frigid outdoor conditions and overheated indoor spaces, the half-zip closure makes it easy to adjust coverage without feeling overwhelmed by extra fabric.
My favorite detail about the Wild and Free Fleece Pullover is the four (technically three, as the two front pockets open into one shared, extra-roomy compartment) zippered pockets that offer plenty of storage. The lightly elasticated bottom hem and dropped shoulders add to the relaxed, cozy vibe.
Fit, Sizing & Warmth
In terms of warmth, the 100% polyester fuzzy fleece is substantial without being bulky. While it’s not wind-resistant or waterproof, it’s ideal for layering or wearing as the outermost layer in cold but dry conditions. The fit as designed is “relaxed,” but is slightly cropped in length which gives it a boxy silhouette. I sized up from my normal XS to a Small for extra room, but in hindsight, I didn’t need to as the original fit is already generously cut through the body and arms. If you prefer a more true-to-size relaxed fit, stick with your regular size.
PRICE
At $178, the Wild And Free Pullover is reasonably priced for FP Movement quality, though we are paying a small premium for the brand name. While it’s not a technical performance piece, the fleece is well-made and machine washable. This is the kind of piece that will last several cold weather seasons.
