Outside of ElleBlogs.com, I wear a lot of “old” stuff, much of it in black: this sheath dress, a striped pullover, relaxed blazers–clothes you are likely to find in my posts about capsule wardrobes. But outfits captured for this blog in the last year tend to be a little more colorful, and feature newer pieces that I was learning how to style.
I did a better job of interpenetrating my tried-and-true with the new a few years ago, before the pandemic confused my sense of style, and in 2024 I want to focus more blog attention on reclaiming that balance.

Happy New Year, Amy! As a fellow lover of brown, I feel your struggle–why wear other colors when brown works so well?! (And there are so many shades of brown… I keep seeing people on Chinese social media trying to make “Maillard” color palettes a separate thing lol.) Hope 2024 is an amazing one for you. <3
