One of fall’s hottest new trends is the sleek leather skirt in a midi or maxi length, and I am here for it. As with all untested trends, I opted for a budget option to start–the one that I am wearing here is from The Drop which has a slimmer silhouette but the front slit and supple pleather (though the suspiciously smooth exterior betrays its synthetic nature) still allow for movement.
And I am finding it to be a surprisingly versatile option: it’s easy to style with my wardrobe, which has a classic bent. Dress down with chunky knits in a muted color, or dress up with slinky tops that have suggestive cutouts or a bold neckline.
