I left the Reformation Mara Dress at my grandma’s house on an annual visit earlier this year to make room for (more) snacks on the return trip, and have been looking for a stand-in that I can wear this summer and into the fall. I found it in the Abercrombie & Fitch Long-Sleeve Squareneck Midi Dress, which is currently on clearance and only available online in limited sizes.
The lightweight material is 100% polyester but feels like the viscose that Reformation uses, and can be machine washed. While the fit is true to size for A&F, with a slim bodice that hugs the body, the sleeves are cut looser relative to the rest of the design; the side slit is more suggestive than discreet, but balances the modest hemline and long sleeves. I also like the low square neckline, even if it means swapping a bra with regular straps for a strapless one.
