The official start of fall finally broke the heat bubble that had settled over the Northeast this summer. The air smells crisper, and while the sun hasn’t dulled its edge, mornings now feel cool enough for a midweight layer.

Like the WindGlow, it has a UPF2000+ hood and UPF50+ fabric across the body; the material, a cotton-polyester blend with a hint of spandex, wears comfortably and dries quickly.
I’ve tried more UPF jackets and sun-protective layers than I can count, but I keep coming back to Beneunder because their pieces feel less like “gear” and more like clothes I’d want to wear anyway. And maybe that’s the point: The best functional pieces are the ones that can disappear into the rhythm of everyday dressing.
