As someone who tries to extend every work trip into a mini vacation, the appeal of do-it-all pants is obvious. One of my travel day go-to is the Athleta Endless High Rise Pant, which looks like work pants with a straight-leg silhouette, but is cut from an ultra-stretchy and breathable polyester fabric (86% recycled polyester and 15% spandex) so feels like loungewear. It’s also easy to care for (line dries easily and can be machine washed) and is mostly wrinkle-resistant. The zip pockets on the sides are large enough to hold a modern smartphone, while the drop-in pockets in the back can house keys or other small items.
Even though the Endless Pant is thoughtfully offered in three size types–regular, tall, and petite–there are some quirks in the cut that make this pant a suboptimal choice for certain body types. Generally speaking, the Athleta size chart is a useful tool for finding the right fit but the high waistband of the Endless Pant, which is forgiving (i.e., doesn’t constrict), may look disproportionate on those with shorter torsos. And the pleated accents create some fullness at the hip which translates to ease through the thigh; the pant legs then softly taper at the hem, but retain some roominess for calves and ankles. Many with a pear shape may find the Endless Pant to be an easy fit, but those with narrower hips and thighs might find the volume at the hip overwhelming.
In size 0P, the Athleta Endless High Rise Pant measures 13″ at the waist, 18″ at the hip, with a 25.5″ inseam. I am 5’2 and can wear these pants in petite with flats.

Athleta also makes the Endless Pant in two other silhouettes: one with a flared hem, and the other with cargo details.
