Camel Cable Cardigan

Happy first day of spring! While astronomical spring has arrived, here in the northeast–where it is commonly accepted that there are 12 seasons–False Spring #1 just left, and we’ve welcomed back Second Winter, with temperatures hovering in the 30s.

While I’ve started to put away long puffers, chunky knits will be a daily occurrence through the end of April, when I am leaving for warmer weather and hopefully returning to “Actual Spring™.”

One knit piece that I wore a lot this winter is LOFT’s Cable Boyfriend Cardigan, which is currently an extra 60% off in three colors online, or $17.95 after discounts. The heavier-weight knit feels very cozy and more luxurious than its actual material content (58% Acrylic, 42% Polyester) should be. But I upsized (multiple sizes) here for extra length and I feel pretty pleased with my decision.

In other sale news, J.Crew’s annual spring sale event has started and most styles are 40% off online; prices as marked. I placed two large orders over the last few months and was surprised by how much I am enjoying their spring collection, even if some designs look ripped from Olivier Rousteing’s Balmain, with numerous gleaming gold buttons (which is arguably native to J.Crew as well).
