This winter has seemed interminable, with only a few spring-like respites from the cold. But now that it’s consistently warm (i.e., above freezing), I have been making greater use of my wardrobe. Here are some outfits from the last month:

I bought the Textured Weave Dress (pictured above) during Zara’s ongoing winter sale (stock is mostly depleted by now, but you can still find the style on the secondary market). The concept is flawless (vibrant color, jewel buttons, square neckline, tweed texture), but the fit is… far from ideal on my body, though I think I can DIY my way to a reasonable fit.
More tweed dresses on my radar:

One piece that I came very close to donating last summer was this navy peacoat from J. Crew; it’s a long-time wardrobe workhorse, but has been relegated to the back of the closet in recent years. With the prep revival, however, I plan to keep it around a few seasons longer. I like how easily it pulls together a humdrum outfit of turtleneck sweaters and skinny pants.

I wore iterations of this outfit–cable-knit sweater with plaid skirt–frequently this winter. I just can’t get enough of the textural contrast. (The Puff Sleeve Cable Sweater seen above is now on super sale online.)

I own this Club Monaco sweater dress in two colorways and really enjoy its comfort and versatility. It requires very little styling and is a go-to when I can’t decide what to wear. See the dress in black on me here.

A new favorite: Silk Maison’s Wool Cardi Dress. The oversized fit, ribbed knit, contrasting buttons, and patch pocket details make this a one-and-done piece.

This hip-length Hooded Puffer Coat from Amazon Essentials doesn’t look like much, but is warm, is reasonably priced, and comes in an array of colors. I’d suggest pairing it with printed or textured pieces, as the jacket itself is woefully plain.

LOFT’s Pocket Poncho Sweater is made from a cotton-blend (55% Cotton, 22% Polyester, 19% Acrylic, 4% Spandex) that is unexpectedly soft and the right weight for spring. While it runs large to size, the blousy fit works well with fitted bottoms.
