Ways to Wear: Blue & Yellow

With all that’s going on in the world, blogging about clothes feels especially frivolous right now; but doomscrolling all day is even more unproductive, so I am grateful for the distraction.

I’m drawing inspiration today from photos of sunflowers that I took on past farm visits. Below I’ve compiled fifteen outfits that feature a hopeful palette of blue and yellow. I didn’t realize how much I enjoy this color combo, and plan to wear more of it in the spring.

Agreed. I love this combo as well. My favorite of yours is the jeans with the cropped pipped yellow jacket! Do you still have that one? I’ve been in a cropped/tweed jacket kick lately. lol

I do! I haven’t worn it in a while but also can’t bear to part with it. Feeling inspired to wear it now. Also in a cropped tweed jacket kick myself… great minds think alike?! <3

Did you choose this particular feature because Sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine? I found it… a bright and hopeful salute.

Hi Emily. I did indeed; and sunflowers against the backdrop of a cloudless sky also reminded me of the Ukrainian flag. Just another way to show support–donating and writing my elected representatives felt… insufficient. Hoping collectively we can exert enough external pressure on the Russian government to end this senseless war.
