Today is apparently the coldest day in 3ish years, so I don’t plan on going outside, but for FOMO reasons I will be wearing my full-length parka and using Bluetooth earmuffs like regular headphones.
On a less silly note, I want to share some pieces that I am wearing on repeat (well, before the polar vortex descended), and which I consider timeless: From statement rings to the perfect turtleneck to the coziest (faux) fur coat.

A lightweight cashmere turtleneck is one of my wardrobe basics–it is the cold-weather equivalent of a basic black t-shirt and is endlessly rewearable. This Mott & Bow offering is fitted but not skintight, so can be worn on its own or layered easily. I’ve been pairing it with all manner of pants, be it slim boyfriend jeans (in darker washes or in a fresh winter cream as pictured here) or relaxed sweater pants.

Another piece on heavy rotation is my (several seasons) old faux fur coat from Free People (loving this current season option in a leopard print). Its plushness has not diminished after all these years. Pre-pandemic I would wear it over party dresses, but it (somewhat inexplicably) just elevates every outfit I wear it with. Below are some similar options for those who need one for themselves.

And while it’s officially gloves-all-the-time season. I will sometimes keep a fun statement ring (or three) on, since my gloves are all heavy-duty and have roominess in the fingers that allow for this extravagance.

And I’ve fallen behind on blog emails, so if you’ve sent me a message recently, please know that I will get back to you!
