My dress du jour is ditsy-bloomed mini sundresses with square or sweetheart necklines (to show off a dainty necklace, if you choose to wear one), smocking in the bodice (which offers plenty of stretch, a must in 90-degree heat), and tie keyhole details (or any kind of accent at the neckline, for added visual interest). This dress is (almost) a complete outfit; I normally just put on my favorite slip-on sneakers, and tie a lightweight cardigan around the waist (or drape over the shoulder). It’s lazy dressing at its finest.
