I got “dressed up” to take these photos in the yard last fall, because indoor lighting was unjustly harsh to this sherpa jacket with faux leather trim, a style from several seasons ago that is still sold at Amazon in three colorways and a range of sizes (XS-L).
This bomber jacket in moppy fleece has a bulky silhouette, but is very cozy and rather warm. And while the faux leather detailing looks a little plastic-y under certain lighting conditions, it will add visual interest and texture to any outfit. I wore it here with an a-line mini skirt and tall boots, but the jacket also pairs nicely with easy outfits like jeans and a light sweater.

On the subject of sherpa jackets, I tried on one of Levi’s evergreen styles, the Original Sherpa Trucker Jacket, over the summer and wanted to share a photo and a quick review. I thought the quality was extremely reasonable for the price point (sticker price is $98 but you can find it for less in the warmer months), but the fit was off in critical ways: the sleeves were too long (I am only 5’2) and the sherpa lining (which requires that you order a size or two larger) adds a substantial amount of bulk. This was a return for me.
