Plaid Coat & Wooly Hobe

I received the Hobes Wooly Hobe as Christmas presents from a stylish friend, and they have barely left my feet on the weekends since. My favorite thing about the Wooly Hobe is that, because they are so warm and cozy (filled generously with super soft lambswool), you don’t need to wear socks, even on the coldest winter days. As I am a grudging sock-wearer (I care entirely too much about the proportion of sock length to shoe), to be freed from having to decide which socks to wear is a true gift.

The Wooly Hobe were immediately comfortable and required no break-in period. The only caveat I would issue is that they don’t have much arch support or cushion, so I wouldn’t recommend them to people who need insoles in their shoes.

And do heed the Hobes’s sizing suggestion: order a full size larger (or size up to the next whole size).

For those who are looking for wool-lined (or sherpa-lined) shoes, here are some more options for your consideration:

I have plans to write a FIFW post for the Wooly Hobe, so write me with styling suggestions!
