Never someone to be deterred from a purchase because of the weather, I bought (and kept) the AQUA Tweed Double-Breasted Blazer pictured in this post around the peak of summer, when a day’s high can climb into triple-digits. And I wish I had a story of misery to share about how I nearly melted wearing it, but it’s been perfectly fine for the well air-conditioned office in which I work.
As the jacket is thigh-length, I see it most easily worn with a shorter dress in warm weather, or with fitted pants in cooler weather. The tinsel tweed adds a touch of party, but also blends well with the softer palette of the jacket, making it dressy but not garish.

The fit is true to size, and the $98 price tag is reasonable–just noticed that it’s now 20-25% off at Bloomingdale’s (level of discount depends on the type of card used) and is available in four colorways online; sizes are still complete.
Here are some more tweed jackets that caught my eye for those in the market for new ones:
Happy shopping!
