Spring Dots (+ Friends of Ann Event)

Thank you Ann Taylor for partnering on this post!

After months of seemingly interminable winter, next week’s forecast will finally show a whisper of spring. And with warmer weather, I am ready to update my wardrobe with some bold prints and patterns.

I am excited to partner with Ann Taylor to share some of my favorite pieces from its latest collection, which has a classic color palette–black, white, gray, and shades of blue–animated by polka dots and soft floral.

And the Friends of Ann event went live yesterday, so you can take 40% off your entire purchase with code FRIENDS40 until 03/11/19. Furthermore, if you sign up for mobile alerts from Ann Taylor, you will be sent a 10% off code that is stackable with the FoA offer.

For those of you who are shopping this sale, here are my picks:

Kerry Polka Dot Leather Slingback Pumps (additional colorways here) An equal parts fun and practical shoe that is easy to slip in and out of. The pointed toe is lengthening but not overly narrow. I find this shoe to fit somewhat large to size lengthwise, so size down unless you have wide feet.

Liv Leather Block Heel Sandals I have been aggressively shoe shopping for a few upcoming warm-weather getaways, and these are my favorite by far. The leather is soft, the 2″ block heels are very manageable, and the color is the perfect shade of light brown. Runs true to size for Ann Taylor (so size down from your designer shoe size).

Boyfriend Cardigan A wardrobe staple that has a place in nearly every closet. What I like about Ann Taylor’s iteration is the cozy material which also has some weight to give it shape. The sale price makes this a very reasonable option.

Shoulder Bow Boatneck Sweater The boat neck on this sweater is extremely flattering, and the bow detail on the shoulder adds just the right amount of whimsy. I sized up in this style as my normal size was a close fit and I am after looser silhouettes for spring.

The Wide Leg Marina Pant One of my favorite purchases of 2018 has returned this spring in three classic colors. I intend to feature these pants prominently in the coming weeks as they are so versatile. Another wide leg option to consider is the Dot Pleated Wide Leg Crop Pants, which is a statement piece for anyone in the market for printed bottoms.

Mac Trench Coat If you are a fellow trench enthusiast, this is for you. The color is slightly more muted than the kelly green in the product photo, but I found it more wearable as a result. The material is starched and has a nice weight to it that will ward off creases. The style fits true to size, and the lack of a belt is not missed.

Happy shopping!
