2018 was a pretty good blogging year for me, because I measure success by amount of content produced. As someone who is inclined to fall into months-long slumps of not wanting to take or edit a single photo, I feel persistence is a win in itself.

2018 proved a trying year, personally. There weren’t cataclysmic events that shook me, just an endless stream of minor setbacks that ensured joy was short-lived (and therefore treasured!)
I think that’s why I ended up shopping so much (not that I need justification, because, well, I like to shop): I needed a relief valve, and was often tethered to the desk feeling frustrated by projects that broke down despite my best efforts.
But I am ready to turn the page. The beauty of a new year is that it holds so much promise.
So, happy New Year, everyone! Thank you for your readership; I have appreciated every email, comment, and interaction I’ve had with you this year.
See you in 2019!
