Spring Lace

Longtime readers of this blog know that I wear my beige-colored trench coats a lot. As much as I wish I could wear them all year round, there are days between seasons when it’s too warm for these medium-weight cotton pieces, but not warm enough to go without a jacket. On those days, I usually turn to silk-y coats that are light enough for the day, but still provide some warmth near dusk. This year I added this lace trench (last worn here) from Asos to the rotation. The price justifies the quality, and that is both its upside and downside. If you can accept that the sleeves can’t be rolled up easily without exposing some polyester lining, you might find this to be a fine addition to your spring wardrobe. The style has a “regular” cut which means it fits true-to-size (some room to button and belt the coat assuming 1-2 bottom layers).

And now that Asos is running a storewide 20% off sale (enter code SUNNYDAYS at checkout), this coat is an even more reasonable choice for those of you looking to add a trendy piece to your closet without committing a lot of resources to it.
