Mother’s Day is next Sunday so, if you haven’t already gift-shopped, you only have a week remaining to do so.
I wrote a more general gift guide last year that you can refer to here, but also want to share what I bought my mom and grandma this year.
To start, because my mom really likes matching long-sleeve-and-pant pajamas, I got her two sets this year: the Vintage Cotton Pajamas from J. Crew that I had previously gotten her which remains one of her favorites; and the Afterhours Satin PJ, as VS offers extended sizes in pajamas and I know exactly which size she prefers there.

Food is also a natural gift for her. As she seems to really enjoy eating the boxes of chocolate biscuits from Godiva that I would buy for myself, I thought I’d get her her own this Mother’s Day.

For my grandma, I picked up a box of cookies from Yoku Moku. I had previously sent her a box of cigare cookies and she really enjoyed them so this looks to be a fail-safe choice.

Also for my grandma: because she is a big fan of colorful fabric bags, I always try to get her something from Vera Bradley every year. This year I picked up the Vera Bradley Iconic RFID Little Hipster Crossbody, which is the perfect size for her as she is quite petite.

The third thing that I got for my grandma is this highly-reviewed foot massager. She has all manner of electric massagers, but not a foot massager, so I thought this would be appropriate.

Here’s another all-purpose gift: I bought a cheap bluetooth shower speaker off Amazon for my parents some years ago and it proved unexpectedly useful. The thing finally died after two years, so I replaced it with the well-reviewed Bose SoundLink® Micro Bluetooth® Speaker.

J. Crew’s cape-scarves are a must for longer flights. One of my favorites is the Striped Cape-Scarf which I also own and ordered for my mom during a recent sale. It instantly elevates even the most basic of outfits.

Lastly, the carry-on that my mom normally uses on shorter trips is showing wear, so I ordered the Globe-Trotter Safari 20” Leather-Trimmed Fiberboard Travel Trolley for her (with the selfish hope that she won’t like it so I’ll get to use it).

If you have any recommendations for a great Mother’s Day gift, please write me an email or leave a comment below.
Happy shopping!
