These “Woven Peg Trousers with Obi Tie” from ASOS were a last-minute addition to a haphazardly assembled wardrobe for a multi-day work trip; it was crammed somewhat ungracefully into the front pocket of my trusty Osprey Porter 30-Liter Backpack, after I realized I failed to pack any trousers for the week. I had hope that it would prove as wrinkle-resistant as the Express Mid Rise Jersey Sash Pant (which I love; last seen here), but the lower spandex content (material composition is 73% polyester, 20% viscose, and 7% elastane) in the former meant that it wrinkled more easily and the dark green color did not disguise wrinkles as well as I thought it might.
I am a fan, though, and especially appreciate that it’s currently available in a rainbow of colors online (some colors are on clearance). As long as it’s packed well and unwrinkled with a strategically timed shower, it could still prove to be a workhorse.
The fit is true-to-size for ASOS, which is roughly a full size smaller than US mall retailers. For those of you around my size, the UK4/US0 (regular) worn in this post measures 12.5″ at the waist; 37.5″ in overall length; and 17.5″ at the hip. If you want a pant that is ankle length, the petite sizes might work well for you.
