Red Chili

Finally, there’s some respite from that prolonged, spirit-breaking cold snap. It’s warm enough (40s!), in fact, that I am playing hooky from work in order to go for a run outside–something which I needed desperately.

I went to college in New Hampshire, where brutal winters are standard, but as soon as the landscape thaws, however slightly, the whole school could be found playing Frisbee shirtless or laying about on the town green. I’ve since been conditioned to exploit small windows of opportunity to be outdoors in the winter; sometimes some fresh air and exercise are what I need to survive another cold spell, which could come as soon as this weekend.

Trouvé Cutout Surplice Top in Red Chili (size XS) || Burberry Mottram Trench (past season; size 2 altered) || Hermes Reversible Logo Belt (size 65) || Kate Spade Lula A-Line Skirt (past season) || Chanel Medallion Tote || INC International Concepts Tacy Knee High Dress Boots (also here and here)

I just noticed that the Trouvé Cutout Surplice Top worn in this post has been made available in new colorways. It’s not the best suited for shorter people, as the neckline dips sharply and the cut-outs sits awkwardly on shorter torsos, but conceptually it’s one of those pieces that can easily be taken from work (with a pencil skirt) to weekend (with some fitted denims).

I couldn’t find enough items of interest to fill a standalone sale post–items sell out quickly at current prices–but do want to highlight these assorted sale styles which I own and would recommend: Nordstrom Rack Cozy Faux Fur 50″ x 60″ Throw (now 65% off), Free People Once Upon a Time Lace Top, UGG Adirondack II Waterproof Boot, Boden Cable Knit Scarf, Alice + Olivia Almira Party Skirt, Ann Taylor Jolene Leopard Print Velvet Bow Pumps, Free People Classic Fur Coat, Anthropologie Rivulets Quilt, and UGG Australia Knit Pompom Beanie.
