Floral Maxi Dress (Milumia Amazon)

There are innumerable fashion labels paddling their wares on Amazon, many of them sold by fly-by-night (third party) shops. In any case, my interest in them grew with time, and when emboldened by the promise of free returns and 2-day Prime shipping, I ordered a number of styles to try, and was pleasantly surprised by some of them.

I picked up the Milumia Button Up Floral Maxi Dress for $32.99 (available in 35 colorways; prices range from $19.99 to $39.99), and think it’s a pretty good value for something fairly versatile and suitable for summer. There are a few cheapening details, like flimsy buttons and unnecessary tie-waist strings, which are not dealbreakers for me at this price point. I am also not a fan of the visible elastic waist, but this detail does make the dress more comfortable to wear.

Sizes run XS-XXL, and the fit is similar to Forever 21, but the elastic waist is forgiving so if you are between sizes you will likely fit both. The length will likely work for most people: I am 5’2 and with 3-1/4″ heels the dress falls about an inch above the ground on me.

I also tried on the Milumia Boho Split Tie-Waist Vintage Print Maxi Dress, which is cut more generously and seems to be designed for a much taller person, but the prints offered are mostly inoffensive (and some are quite cute!). If the fit wasn’t an issue I might have kept it.
