We are slowly approaching peak pom-poms again, as we did in the early aughts. They’ve been everywhere in the last two years: on bags (made cool by Fendi’s Pompom Karl, or “Karlito“); on sweaters; on blankets; on teapots; on chairs; on pillows; on curtains; on hair ties; on scarves; on slippers; on sarongs; on necklaces; on phone cases; on mittens; on dresses; on boots; on farmer’s hats; on shorts; on headbands; on sandals; on socks; on earrings; on bracelets; on coats; on swimsuits; and on hats. (EVERYWHERE!)
At first I really loved them, but as the pom-poms increased in number, I started to see viruses where fun fuzzy balls were. Sometimes you have to draw a line somewhere, so I’ve limited myself to two pom-poms per item (I mean, how great is my double-pom hat?)
