Sphinx (+ Lush Twist Front Woven Shirt Review)

In a previous post I had sang praises of the Lush Twist Front Woven Shirt, which I wore frequently this summer with boyfriend jeans and strappy sandals. The design is blouse-y so I feel it fits true-to-size on a straight-shaped person. And the neckline dips low, so consider wearing it with a tonal bralette. While the high-low hem isn’t dramatic, this detail helps add a touch of insouciance to any outfit. I also like the box pleat on the back which allows easy movement. I wish the length were an inch or two shorter to better balance my proportions as a short person, but overall this is a solid choice for a casual shirt.

If I had to nitpick, I feel the color name “Sphinx” is inaccurate. I know the Sphinx is a mythical creature so it could conceivably be this light taupe with a reddish/bluish tint (which is very pretty), but I really expected a color closer to limestone. Or I may just be unnecessarily nitpicky.
