Pleated skirts are one of my wardrobe favorites; they are easy to dress up (try them with a tonal silk camisole) and even easier to dress down (I love wearing mine with oversized sweaters). I wear my ballerina pink Club Monaco pleated skirt at least once a month, and has for about five years. I recently added this medium green J. Crew rendition to my closet and have only positive things to say about it. The price point is reasonable (now on sale) for the quality; unlike offerings at comparable price levels, this skirt is lined, has double pleats that are reinforced (so unlikely to lose their folds), and is machine-washable. It even has pockets.

Another style that I would recommend is this heavily discounted H&M pleated skirt (available in three colors) that I think is a great value for the price.
