Weekend Style

As much as I have complained about the sweltering heat, I am sad that we are nearing summer’s end.

Getting dressed in the summer is easy; no layers are warranted, so I don’t feel obliged to get creative with my clothes. Throw on a printed dress, grab an outer layer for air-conditioned rooms, and I am ready to start my day. I’ll miss the convenience of summer, and maybe explore a move to somewhere tropical.

Zara Sail Boat Dress (from Summer 2016) | American Eagle Faded Denim Jacket (buy current season here) | J. Crew Signet Bag in Cobalt Sea (reviewed here) | Converse Chuck Taylor® All Star® Shoreline Slip-On Sneaker (also sold here and here)

And my Signet Bag collection is growing! (Just kidding, my mom claimed the olive one for a trip she went on and I am left with just the cobalt.) I really like how unassuming the design is and how unexpectedly useful is has proven. J. Crew’s fall collection has been dangerous for my shopping budget, as I also ordered (and plan to keep) the Rider Bag and the Mini Rider Bag (which looks vaguely like the lovechild of the Chloé Drew Leather Crossbody Bag and the Chloé Small Marcie Leather Crossbody Bag; saddle bags are seemingly very on trend).

Hi, I am Elle!
