Dressing in monochromatic color schemes is a safe choice on days when inspiration runs dry. There’s something comforting about the presence of (quiet) visual cohesion, but the contrasting tones and textures still manage to create intrigue.
This outfit might be made better if I had traded indigo denim jeans for light gray or white bottoms to soften the overall look, but dark wash jeans are generally more flattering and have stain-concealing properties that are difficult to pass up.
Someone very observant once said, “life is a series of trade-offs,” and it rings true even for something as mundane as getting dressed.
