My immune system kicks into panic gear when the weather seesaws between extremes (and my sodium-rich diet doesn’t help matters) so this winter has felt hellish. I dug up these pictures from December, taken on a tepid 55-degree day, and longed for spring for the first time this year.
A really useful closet item that may have been permanently discontinued is the J. Crew Collection Cashmere Getaway Hoodie. I got a few for me and my mom last summer at fire sale prices and they have proven to be perfect for dramatic temperature fluctuations. They are sufficiently warm but not stuffy.
You can still find them on eBay for about half off retail. I would suggest going up a size as this style fits slim and long.
