Compiling images for these year-end posts is always a strangely cathartic experience.
I didn’t explain my erratic posting schedule this year sooner because the timing always seemed off. But this post, the last post of 2015, might be the only time to share this: I lost my grandfather, to whom I was extremely close, early this spring; between the trips to see him when he was increasingly unwell and the subsequent family gatherings, I rarely had the headspace for blogging. I occasionally went weeks without thinking about this blog and, for a time, came close to shuttering it for good.
Slowly, as life inched toward “normalcy,” blogging did too. Thank you, everyone who wrote throughout the year, whether to ask questions, offer feedback, share information, or just to say “hi!” I appreciated all of your messages.
Have a happy and healthy new year. See you in 2016!
