I want to say “thank you” (!) to all of you unflagging shoppers who keep sending in sale tips. December really is a glorious time to be a bargain hunter!
The UGG® Australia Classic Genuine Shearling Headphone Earmuffs that I wear everywhere in the winter (and that are rarely on sale) are 30% off at Nordstrom in three classic colors (including the light brown that I wore in the picture above; they are still full price here, here, here, here, here, here, and here). I also own them in black and they make traveling in the winter much more tolerable.
Uggs are rarely on sale because demand typically outstrips supply and Ugg’s parent company actively enforces their minimum advertised price agreements (kudos to the Deckers team and its partner retailers for keeping the long run in perspective) so that a number of major retailers all of a sudden started offering moderate discounts (still no fire sale) on perennial styles is curious. My suspicion that the unseasonably warm winter we’ve seen in some parts of the world has negatively affected sales seems confirmed by the rumor that Ugg’s parent company lowered the MAP on some styles. This same article also noted that some classic UGG styles will be “refreshed” in 2016. I can’t wait for what the new year will bring (or what Deckers’ annual report will reveal).
In the meantime, I will be stocking up on cold weather accessories in the event that 2016 turns out to be a much cooler year.
