I have been stuck in an especially sluggish dressing phase since early Spring and on most mornings will just throw on a dress, grab a jacket, and be on my way.
And what I’ve found is that all
that a lazy dresser needs to be presentable is a well-curated closet of
neutral basics that will mix themselves (more on this next month). For
variety, include some bold pieces that can stand on their own.

A quick word about these lace-up Zara flats: they are pretty but not the most comfortable to wear. I manually broke them in (I didn’t realize there was a plastic insert in the heel counter, which
snapped in half when I was trying to stretch the shoe, and was
momentarily concerned that I broke broke them) before leaving on a trip earlier this month but made the painful mistake of leaving moleskin padding at home. I’m holding out hope that they’ll break in with time but I’m not optimistic that they’ll last that long.
Have a great weekend, all!
