At the request of reader C, who apparently used to rely on me to enable her shopping habit, here are some purchases that have worked out. Not all are recent but I have plans to blog about them eventually (we shall see just how eventual).

Kate Spade New York 2 Park Avenue Fabric Lux Small Beau Satchel (Possibly an extra 30% off with code EXTRA30; discount is account-specific.)
Forever 21 Embroidered Espadrilles (Fit true to size–order a size up if between sizes–and are relatively comfortable.)
Forever 21 Structured Envelope Crossbody (I picked this up in all three colors; girlfriends who got them as gifts were pleased. I also own the bag in blue.)
Forever 21 Faux Leather Crisscross-Strap Sandals
(I own a similar pair that’s 10x as expensive and they are worn to shreds; these are affordable, look expensive but do rub a bit at the heel.)
Forever 21 Embroidered Crochet Pencil Skirt (Not the most petite-friendly of skirts but I haven’t had luck finding a heavy crochet skirt in navy so will be spending money to alter it; good quality for the store.)
Forever 21 Anchor Wrist Cuff

Now, some of you might be thinking: Elle, really, Forever 21 again? I
thought we’ve been down this road before. And all I have to say for
myself is that I have been exceedingly lucky there of late and the gift
card I was bequeathed–former owner kicked her fast fashion habit–still has a positive balance on it.

J. Crew Bow-shoulder Dress in Super 120s Wool
(Popbacks are a daily occurrence; check secondary markets if you don’t like that game.)
(In person, pale chartreuse is duller than pictured with maybe a touch more green in its composition. The bow is also an abstract bow, not a gift bow.)
Kate Spade New York Suede Larisa Pumps
(picked up during Saks’s consolidation sale; possibly still in stores.)

For those who can’t find the Larisa Pumps in stores, I also tried the Licorice Jean Pumps (also here) earlier this year and they are fairly similar (though the Licorice will probably require a lengthy break in period).

Happy shopping!
