It’s been eight years since Pantone last declared a shade of red its color of the year so it was unsurprising when news broke that “marsala” (like the wine) was named Pantone’s 2015 color of the year.
Oxblood/burgundy was kind of the unofficial color of the year in 2012/2013 during which time I added a number of styles to my closet so I am happy that it continues to be on trend (not that I wouldn’t wear the color otherwise; it’s just fun to to partake in the fanfare).

So, you may not want to know this about me, but my extremities are always cold (why quality gloves and socks are essential to my existence). One of my best purchases last winter was UGG earmuffs; they are expensive for earmuffs but are worth every penny. Ersatz shearling earmuffs simply do not compare. I added another pair to my closet this fall (with headphone capabilities) and no longer worry that my ears might be frostbitten.
Now eager to try UGG brand gloves.
