Becoming comfortable with being overdressed is an education in oblivion. Most people with whom I routinely interact have accepted that I put on my Sunday best for quotidian events. Those who don’t know me or my peculiarities sometimes make the mistake of asking me why I am “dressed so nicely;” they then bear the burden of having to sit through my protracted speech on making the most of my wardrobe in its entirety.
