If clothes are an outlet for personal expression, nothing makes a statement quite like prints do. I wear some jewelry–a watch, simple necklaces, the occasional bracelet–but do not find that particularly striking pieces mesh well with my lifestyle. In the absence of accessories that deliver powerful punches, prints add most to my outfits with the least amount of effort.
Kate Spade New York does prints better than many of its peers (imo); its abstract bow print drained my fun fund last year (two skirts, a scarf, a tote, and a wallet finally put out that fire) and I was very sad that this “picnic” print dress sold out before steep discounts could be taken. Luckily, I found the dress in my size on eBay several months after the season ended and now count it among my most treasured possessions.
The newest print addition to my closet is the Transcontinental Travel Tag Scarf which I ordered today with the Kate Spade F&F discount (30% off with code F14FFUS). In my cart are the Prospect Boots and Maxine Pearl Sweater. I am also eying the Izarra Heels, Dorothy Coat, Lee Bow Skirt, Silk Mini Dress, Bow Wristlet, Leopard Licorice Heels, and Denisa Dress.
