I recently donated or repurposed a dozen older or tattered dress shirts and promptly replaced them in a few guilt-free online J. Crew sessions. I wish I could say that I was scrupulous in selecting my new shirts but that would be a lie.
I will review these recent purchases more thoroughly in a future post but will say for now that while the Gingham Utility Shirt (in 00P) and the Boys’ Secret Wash Shirt in Gingham (in size 12) share roughly the same measurements, the former is generally more flattering on an adult woman’s figure (as expected).

Select styles are 25% off at J. Crew with code NOWANDLATER. Some “classics” made the list, including the No. 2 Pencil Skirt (love the new fall colors!), Schoolboy Blazer, Icon Trench (reviewed here), Downtown Field Jacket, Martina Wedge, and Keeper Chambray Shirt (reviewed here).
Additional picks: Painter Tee, Swing Sweater, Silk Ruffle Blouse, Vintage Denim Jacket, Boy Shirt in End-on-End, Boyfriend Fatigue Jacket, and Jeweled Striped Sweatshirt.
