In a move completely antithetical to my new shopping philosophy (no more dupes), I bought two of these Zara Mini City Bags (I wore the light pink one here). My justification was that the price is reasonable but the truth is that summer heat and related mugginess have impaired my judgment.
I do really enjoy the bags (available in yellow, red, navy, nude, black, and orange) and despite the fact that the top handles do not fold down and occasionally jab me in the side, the color and shape are both to my taste and while the craftsmanship is unremarkable, for the price point it is reasonable.
For those with more carefully edited wardrobes or those who consume more conscientiously, this bag is probably not a very good fit. I had hoped it would be marked down for the summer sale but it remains stubbornly full-price so this is only a half-hearted recommendation.
Tomorrow’s weekly shopping update will include some reviews of recent Zara sale purchases so stay tuned.
In the meantime, don’t forget to shop Ann Taylor‘s sale; take $50 off full-price purchases of $100+ with code FLASH50. The new arrivals section is chock-full of fall-ready pieces. I especially like the Trench Dress, Cheetah Print Dress, Leather Moto Jacket, Faux Leather Short Sleeve Dress, Edgy Trench, Faux Leather Sleeved Striped Top, Faux Leather Sleeved Striped Dress, and Striped Jeweled Necklace Tee.
