This is one of my foolproof weekend uniforms for Spring: colorful tweed jacket, lightweight silk blouse, and light wash jeans. It’s neither overdone nor nonchalant as though to say: I exerted some effort, but only enough to look presentable.

J. Crew Confetti Tweed Jacket | c/o Min Edition Contrast Placket Silk Button Down Blouse | Gap 1969 Destructed Always Skinny Skimmer Jeans (similar) | Marc by Marc Jacobs Rose Gold Watch | Prada Saffiano Lux Double-Zip Tote | Zara Wedge Court Shoe (similar)

A few words about the Min Edition Contrast Placket Silk Button Down Blouse, which is hardly an inexpensive investment but will fit someone who shares my constitution (sizes run XS-M) without alterations.

The blouse is more substantial and opaque than many white-silk-blouse options currently available in stores but if you, like me, are not accustomed to wearing camisoles with blouses, a flesh-colored bra will work effectively to conceal bra outlines.

Min Edition caters specifically to a proportionally petite crowd; the blouses will fit most women under 5’4 with an average bust or taller women with shorter torsos/arms and narrower (for their height) shoulders.

Size XS
Shoulder: 13.5″ | Sleeve Length: 21.75″ | Total Length: 25″ (front) / 27″ (back) | Underarm to Underarm: 17″

Anna, the founder of Min Edition, was kind enough to provide an extra blouse (in size S; size chart here) for a giveaway. To enter, leave a comment below and tell me what your favorite Min Edition item is (and if the account you comment under doesn’t display your name, please include it in the body of the message).

The giveaway will run for (a little over) 10 days and end on 4/27/14 at midnight EST. I will announce the winner on 4/29/14.

Good luck!
