When it’s cold out, all I want to do is buy coats–as though prettier outerwear will somehow leaven absurdly cold winters. The reality (for the last week or so) is that, despite having a closet brimming with gorgeous coats, I canceled most plans, binge watched the second season of House of Cards, and finally cracked open Tenth of December (a mostly depressive read which mirrors my current mood). The cold just brings out the recluse in me.

And now that winter sales have dwindled and spring merchandise fully populated store racks, my urge to shop and browse has waned.
Even Ann Taylor’s impossibly pink spring collection failed to excite in the absence of a sufficiently appealing discount. For those of you less affected by price, these options could brighten your mood: Starbright Dot Blouse, Gallery Tote in Foggy Morning, Jeweled Collar Top, Dotted Square Scarf, and Satin Crepe Seamed Dress.
The Pearlized Crystal Statement Necklace (worn here), which is one of my favorite purchases last year, has been brought back this Spring.
Tomorrow’s weekly shopping update will include a few reviews. Stay tuned! Having technical problems, will try to resolve ASAP.
