(This post is plucked from blogging limbo for the Kate Spade Surprise Sale)
True love blinds. Remember how adamant I was that the white bag I would add to my closet must be of a certain size, made of a particular material, and of resounding simplicity? Well, the moment I saw the Kate Spade Primrose Hill Little Kaelin Bag in Kate Spade’s May surprise online sale, everything that seemed important became inconsequential.

This bag isn’t for everyone. In fact, it probably isn’t for most. The size–6.25″ tall, 9″ wide, and 3″ deep–is awkward for people who like larger bags (like me). Its practicality is unclear–sort of a bag for ladies who lunch–and the leather is soft and dirt prone. There are numerous shortcomings to contend with for the more meticulous shopper.
I did not give myself time to consider those issues because flash sales are distinguished by their sense of urgency.
(Please note that all Kate Spade Surprise Sale purchases are final sale!)

The bag does have some fine qualifies. For example, it can
be worn in three ways: as a crossbody, on the shoulder, and as a
clutch.
The polka dot printed lining and front bow detail
may be a bit juvenile for some adult women but I feel
they are subtle enough to suit those who appreciate a sense of playfulness in the bags they carry.
This style is from a past season but can still be found in red at the Kate Spade surprise sale.
Some fun items that are also included in the surprise sale: Bow Terrace Cindy, Rose Avenue Harmony, Allen Street Neil, Allen Street Raquelle, Bow Terrace Justine, Barrow Street Chad, Bow Terrace Bradshaw, and Dictionary Clutch.
Happy shopping!
