I got a preview of warmer days ahead last week in the form of an irregularly temperate 70-degrees streak before the forecast took a turn for the rainy and drab. I finally got to re-wear my DIY felt flower embellished top (modeled after this J. Crew collection beauty) and even received a few casual “cute top!” comments from strangers who probably didn’t care for details.
I am commending myself for having the foresight of making this top, even though it’s a hardly comparable copy (and despite loathing the process). I would’ve hemmed and hawed over getting this $228 top for months and watched in disbelief as it sells out at full price.
I look forward to tackling more no-sew/minimal-sew projects this spring and if all goes well I hope to share them on here. If you know of any good (but most importantly) simple DIY’s for me to attempt, please share your ideas in the comments below.
