Numerous Zara sale purchases have proven to be the downfall of my otherwise pretty uneventful credit card bill this month (the month is not over yet so I may have spoken too soon). I justified most purchases with a singular “probably would’ve gotten it two cuts ago” excuse but find comfort in the fact that I ordered everything with the expressed purpose of returning if not “perfect.”

I have noticed a paradigm shift in my shopping mentality (which has not yet translated to a complete behavioral change) – a barely noticeable shift on a day-to-day basis, but a meaningful one with time. I used to be defenseless against the sweet lure of a super sale but have now developed an immunity to them that old me would be very proud of (hardly a triumph for most people but I cut myself a lot of slack).

What are some goals – new or old – that you’ve set for yourself on the shopping front?
