I hadn’t planned on keeping the J. Crew Lace-printed Sweatshirt worn in this post – the fit was an issue for me and it just wasn’t dazzling – but when I was repackaging things to return I noticed that the retail tag had detached from the top. As my local store associates already give me side eye for returning bulk orders, I decided to avoid an inevitable dispute by just keeping the top.
In trying on the top with other pieces from my closet I have grown rather fond of it. I guess on occasion clothes, like most things in life, grow more likable with time (I am tempted to go off on a tangent and relay a story about me and my teddy bear but I won’t bore you with unrelated drivel).

The top looks a little busy when worn with a boucle jacket but I tell myself that I analyze my outfits too much these days and fashion for me shouldn’t be a science (as I don’t work in the industry). I think a certain amount of chaos or mismatched-ness is tolerable, even fun at times.
