Burberry’s end of the year sale is here! For people who wear extended sizes not carried in department stores, I think this is a fun one to browse.
Burberry Prorsum styles are about 50% off. I am infatuated with the Crepe Wool Coat and wish I had saved up for it.

Numerous Burberry London and Brit styles are on sale, currently for about 30% off. I already have a cotton trench in a light khaki color and a sateen trench in a warmer khaki color so I won’t need another trench coat for years. I do love the “nude” colored trenches and might buy one if it ever gets heavily discounted.

One of my favorite purchases from J. Crew recently is the Cambridge Cable Chunky Turtleneck Sweater. The fit is slouchy but I like how cozy it feels. Friends warned me that last year’s version shed intensely and that I should probably toss it into the washing machine. I will report back if this year’s version suffers from the same problem. Only three colors are well discounted right now; I’ll be waiting for further discounts.

The Hacking Jacket in Double-serge Wool in “Sheer Mint” (I think we can expect a good review from Cee in the near future) was something I had been watching rather carefully since it first appeared on the website. However, I don’t think the style is particularly flattering on me. The length is longer compared to the Schoolboy Blazer and the shape less square but I just don’t love it. I may return it and hope for a better discount – at which point I will re-purchase and attempt to integrate it into my existing wardrobe. Jean did a comprehensive review last year comparing the Schoolboy Blazer and the Hacking Jacket which you can read here.

The Lace-Printed Sweatshirt was a last minute addition to my order. I loved the print in person but think the sweatshirt would be much better if it had long sleeves. The XXS feels snug on me across the shoulder. If you like this type of pattern, I think the Jules Dress in Trompe l’Oeil Lace has promise and will likely try it at some point.

And, to round out my most recent order, I got the Lady Day Coat in Vintage Berry. I am familiar with Lady Day Coat sizing and ordered for the color, which is striking in person. However, as I already own a vivid green coat, hoarding this one just means I’ll give the green one less attention. I am undecided about this purchase so will spend a little more time toiling over my decision.

Two other items I haven’t had a chance to take pictures of are the La Parisienne sweater and the Bow-neck top in bow print. I liked both but think they are still expensive for such trendy pieces. If I can be convinced of their versatility I will more than likely keep them.

I posted some fitting room pictures in this post if you are interested in this collection.
Topshop has a very small sale section online. I ordered the Structured Blazer in pink because I really like the concept (I have a blazer in that color but that one fit horribly) and
it’s on sale for $50 (the threshold for free shipping and free returns).
