Bloomingdale’s
Use your Private Sale codes for $25 off every $100 purchase (check your email). There are some exclusions but if an item qualifies the discount will show up at checkout.
I have a few spare codes: XJ0SS6A1F2VA, X70AB6A8W3UV, X80LF6AH82X for those of you who didn’t get an email. If you have a new account sign up coupon, it’s stackable with the private sale codes.
There are a few sales that are running concurrently with the private sale, including a Buy More, Save More sale for men’s apparel. I picked up some Ralph Lauren jackets and Burberry polos for my dad, slacks for J, and some sweaters for my brother. It’s not even December yet and I think the toughest part of Christmas shopping for me is already over.
I didn’t find success with the Black Halo Jackie O dress (I wore the size 0 here) previously but decided to order again now that the price is finally reasonable ($207 before additional discounts) and I will just get it shortened.

A few items that are now on sale but excluded from the private sale coupon include the classic Theory Gabe Blazer, Betty Sheath, and Golda Pencil Skirt and Max C Pants.

I have bought and returned numerous orders to J. Crew in the last few months – I am keeping maybe a third of what I ordered and it’s pretty scary how much I’ve bought from them in the last little while. I was able to fill in some gaps in my winter wardrobe but my closet is quickly approaching capacity.
I re-ordered the
Janey Patent Flats (in dusty jade) today and also got the Pleated Crepe Skirt that I loved on Lisa of Respect the Shoes. The last item in my order is the Cha Cha dress which looks really fun but doesn’t seem particularly versatile. I had ordered the Sequin-trim Tennis Dress but decided to cancel the item from my order when I re-evaluated and realized how impractical it was.
As always, J. Crew is great for quality but affordable (when on sale) work garb. If you are still looking to buy a new coat, there are a few coats (the
pink Metro Coat, the Wool-Cashmere Peplum Coat, the Lady Day Coat, the Greatcoat, the Slim Trench, and the Icon Trench) and peacoats (Tipped Peacoat and Majesty Peacoat) on sale.

J. Crew’s shoe collection is interesting at times. I have to caution you against buying J. Crew shoes on final sale (unless you’ve already seen the item in person and know your size) because some shoes are disappointing in person.
Top: Jayne Flats (only dusty jade is on sale) | Maddie Ballet Flats | Biella Loafers Bottom: Classic Velvet Slipper | Jayne T-strap Ballet Flats | Nora Cap Toe Ballet Flats (looks great in the stock photo but sort of cheap looking in person) |
For those of you who already own the classics, consider these classics with a twist.
