My polka dot addiction rages on with the addition of this Forever 21 sweater to my ever-growing collection. It’s my first sweater in the print so I told myself I am not (yet) a full-blown addict.
I had been eying a few polka dot sweaters from J. Crew (specifically, this cashmere one), Neiman Marcus, and Bloomingdale’s but a handful of factors deterred me from ordering (price had something to do with it). The Forever 21 version allowed me to dabble in the trend casually without committing to a pricey purchase. I think the beauty (and conceptual success) of Forever 21 is its ability to allow trend-chasers without a substantial war chest to freely experiment.
I have to remind myself that things in excess are deleterious. Polka dots are treading dangerously close to that line for me.
