I pulled out my boots for the first time last week -the temperature drop between September and October is precipitous. The idea of wearing a coat was unfathomable only weeks ago but I’ve already taken to wearing a coat everyday.
I don’t think I ever wrote a review of the Corso Como Redmond Boots last year, when I got them. As big a fan as I am of Corso Como pumps, their boots were disappointing. I got two pairs last year via Hautelook and both pairs fell apart on me (the outer soles came loose on both pairs after only about a dozen wears each). I took them to a cobbler and had the soles reattached but I really don’t think a pair of $200 boots should be held to such a relaxed quality standard.
Will you be needing new boots this year? What are some options you are considering?

And a few dress deals on Amazon for the upcoming holiday season.
The Rebecca Minkoff Jemme Dress is $54 (or 86% off) in turquoise – reviews on Saks (sold out there) say the dress runs small for curvier ladies (the bottom is cut narrow).
These two Rebecca Minkoff cocktail dresses are perfect for upcoming holiday parties – the Bustier Dress in Teal is 84% off (you can buy it in white here, here, and here – but they are not as discounted as Amazon prices) and the Leila Dress is 74% off.

I love these two red cocktail dress options – one by Rory Beca and the other by Rebecca Minkoff (also available in a longer version).

Here are two other blush/cream options to consider if these are more flattering on your skintone.
