J. Crew‘s new sale started at midnight – take 30% off sale items with code OURTREAT. Free shipping is offered, as always, on orders of $175+.
I’ve picked out a few of my favorites from each category in case you need a jumping off point. I, despite my insistence to J over the weekend that I’ve sworn off shopping for the most part (but exceptions will always be made for spectacular deals), couldn’t resist and placed an order (I removed all things final sale from my cart…don’t pull the trigger if you have reservations).
And a few other items worth looking at are the Collection Cashmere cardigan (select colors are 99.99 and 129.99 before discounts), the Bubble necklace in neon azalea ($69.99 before discounts), the Blythe blouse, the Edie Grand (and Edie wallet), the Stadium-cloth Mod coat, and the Collection cashmere polka dot sweater.
Ann Taylor’s weekend timed sales came back tonight. This time, take an extra 40% off when you buy two sale items or an extra 50% off when you buy three or more sale items. The discount will be reflected automatically at checkout so no code is needed.
If you have an Ann Taylor Cares card, you can use
ATCARES for an extra 25% off your purchase. I picked up a few items for me and my mom. There are some final sale items mixed in with regular sale items so be careful when you order.
Shipping is waived on orders of $175+ and returns may be made to any Ann Taylor retail store.
There are quite a few skirts and pants available in a range of sizes that seem promising. The reviews are generally useful so I would recommend reading them.
I’ve been eying the Weekend Duffle Bag (also available in a smaller size) with some interest for the last few weeks and finally decided to order it to try. My trusty canvas weekend bag has served me well in the last few years but I can definitely use an upgrade.
As for Forever 21 – this is a one-day Friends & Family sale that will end at midnight tonight. Use code FANDF21 at check out for 21% off full-priced items. I have more phone pictures saved somewhere but can’t seem to find them right now – if I do I’ll update this post.
I normally turn to Forever 21 for their polyester shirts, polyester/rayon/spandex blend dresses, and trendy jewelry. One type of clothing I typically stay away from is blazers as they tend to fit somewhat oversized and are overwhelming on petite frames.
|Polka Dot Chambray Shirt | I did not keep this because the color is slightly too dark for my preferences|
Sleeveless Polka Dot Shirt has been a well-loved closet addition and I have twitter friend Tay to thank for this purchase as she was the one who recommended it to me back in August. It reminds me a lot of Jean’s thrifted (and then masterfully altered) blouse – the Forever 21 rendition is likely inferior in quality (missing the interesting texture and lacking the cherry on top – the neck tie) but is nevertheless one of my better F21 purchases this year.
|Shirred Boxy Shirt – I returned this as I didn’t like the color of this blouse but did like the casual fit|
|Zippered Surplice Dress|
A few other items I ordered recently are Stretch Petite Skinny Jeans (here in a lighter wash – I thought the 24 fit me well), Stitched Down Placket Blouse, Essential Knee Length Skirt, Boxy Retro Print Top, and Textured Sheath Dress w/ Bow Belt. If you’ve had success with F21, I would love your suggestions.
