This pink peplum dress is a somewhat recent sale find. I had purposely curtailed the buying of all things peplum for a while because there is a point of excess and I crossed it some time ago.
I made an exception for this dress because it was heavily discounted but also because of its ability to transcend occasions. The modest neckline makes it a work-appropriate choice but the fun design at the waist and the color make it a little dressier than most work garb. With the right accents I see this dress being an useful piece for those whose styles have a feminine flair.
The biggest challenge in wearing this dress to work is that most jackets I own conceal the interesting peplum design. The only solution I’ve come up with so far is to simply drape the jacket instead of wearing it as one normally would. I know how some people feel about draping jackets but as someone who overheats but then quickly freezes, draping jackets work surprisingly well for me in the office.

For peplum pieces that are designed more specifically for work, I adore the peplum jackets that retailers at all price levels have introduced for fall.
