SewPetiteGal Peplum Skirts (in Mint Chevron and Map of the World)

SewPetiteGal is a blogger I’ve always admired and envied. I am handicapped when it comes to sewing so I really look up to people who alter and make their own clothes. Imagine my glee when, on her maternity leave, SPG decided to expand her Etsy store to accommodate growing demand for her custom work.

At the time when SPG’s peplum skirt post went live, I emailed the link to my mom knowing how much she enjoys unique prints and peplum skirts (what can I say? We both tend to grow belly pouches with large meals; it must be hereditary) and she was thrilled when it became available through SPG’s etsy store.

Since my mom and I swap clothes from time to time, I didn’t want to get the peplum skirt in the same print and emailed SPG to inquire if she had a chevron fabric available. She quickly emailed me a link with different fabrics and offered to order a sample (on her own dime!) to see if the material would be suitable for the project.

A week later I received another message from SPG with news that the fabric can be used to make the skirt and soon after both skirts were on their way to me. SPG was so kind to include some nautical trinkets with the skirts (as she shares my love for all things anchor) and information for how to care for and wash the skirts.

The skirts are made to order (you can even specify the length of the peplum) therefore fit perfectly and the removable peplum makes it extra versatile. SPG was so kind to offer me a friend discount and the skirts are worth every penny and more.

I’ve been wearing the skirt every chance I get and have collected so many compliments from strangers along the way.

Gap blouse (similar), SPG skirt, LOFT necklace, Chanel bag, and Via Spiga shoes

The chevron print looks great with bright colors as well as neutral ones.

See the map peplum skirt on Jean (if you also own this skirt, please let me know and I’ll add your link here).
